Largemouth Bass. The Largemouth Bass very closely resembles the Smallmouth Bass and other species of the genus Micropeterus (i.e., Spotted Bass, Redeye Bass, etc.) Together these fish form a group that is referred to as the Black Basses. The Largemouth can be distinguished from most similar species by the fact that its mouth extends at least to, and often beyond the rear edge of the eyes. Largemouth Bass Replicas
Artist Note 1: Some of the mounts shown here were painted according to a photograph provided by the angler. That explains the differences you may find in the colors of the different mounts. Artist Note 2: Except for the World Record, all of our bass mounts were molded originally from a skin mount. There are many advantages to this method. We create our replicas using 3 separate 2-piece molds: one set for the body, one for the left side of the head and the other for the right side of the head. This allows us to reproduce the details of the inside of the mouth with 100% total accuracy, including see-thru open gills.
